Three clean energy trade groups including the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) are calling on US energy secretary Rick Perry to ensure that his department’s upcoming study of bulk electricity markets and reliability will be done in an “open and transparent manner.”

The 28 April letter by AWEA, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Advanced Energy Economy, all based in Washington, DC, called on Perry to “initiate a public process” to gather input to inform the 60-day study he ordered two weeks earlier.
