TPI Composites, the US-based maker of wind blades, has signed a multi-year deal to supply Vestas out of a new facility set to open in Mexico – an important win given the prospect of losing future business from General Electric, which recently acquired rival blade maker LM Wind Power.

The deal represents TPI’s first contract with Vestas in the Americas, building on existing contracts to supply Danish turbine giant out of its factories in Turkey and China.
