China connected 3.52GW of wind capacity to the grid in the January-March period, up 26% from a year earlier, while, curtailment was reduced, according to new statistics from the National Energy Administration (NEA).

The country’s cumulative wind installations now stand at roughly 151GW, up 13% year on year.

The remote northwestern province of QInghai led the country in quarterly installations, with 590MW of new capacity.
