The $1.65bn acquisition by GE of blade-maker LM Wind Power was completed today, filling what the US industrial giant's renewables boss said was a crucial gap in its wind-sector capabilities.
The acquisition of the Danish blade-maker – completion of which was confirmed by LM Group Holding – was first announced in October 2016.
It received the all-clear from EU competition authorities in March, with other key regulatory clearances secured in the US, China and Brazil.
