Installations of turbines from Enercon bounced back last year driven by a surge in its German home market, making 2016 the second-best year ever for the Aurich-based wind OEM.
New installations rose to 3.83GW in 2016, according to figures published in the company’s in-house magazine Windblatt. That is up from 3.12GW of Enercon turbines installed globally in 2015.
Only in 2014 did Enercon register more installations, when 3.94GW
