The Spanish Government will auction up to 3GW of large-scale renewable energy capacity next month, the country’s Ministry of Energy said – paving the way for a process already under fire over claims it favours the wind sector.
The tender, which will be held on 17 May, will cover multiple “cost-efficient” renewable energy technologies, said the ministry.
According to the government, around 2GW of renewable generation capacity will be allocated.
