Iberdrola-owned developer ScottishPower Renewables has awarded two more contracts for the development of the giant £2.5bn ($3.1bn) 714MW East Anglia 1 (EA1) wind farm in the southern North Sea, off eastern England.
JDR landed a contract with UK player VBMS to supply intra-array cables for EA1. The contract – the industry’s first commercial 66kV array cable project to date – will see JDR design and manufacture 155km of array cables including end terminations.
