The Brazilian wind power Association (ABEEólica) has welcomed the government’s new long-term power demand projections and the announcement that this will require tenders to contract new capacity over the next ten years, but will continue to lobby for the re-start of auctions in 2017.

“It’s great news, and by our calculations the government is signalling 30GW of new capacity to be tendered over ten years, but I still want to know when the tenders will restart.
