The Trianel network of municipal utilities and northern German regional utility EWE have taken a binding final investment decision (FID) for the 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum 2 (TWB2) offshore array in the North Sea.
The about €800m ($849.6m) project - one of the last in Germany still due to be built without the support level being determined by tenders – is slated to be commissioned until the end of 2019.
