The founder of Indian player Suzlon expects to see the industry deliver around 6GW of new capacity across the country, setting another record year, according to reports.

India’s wind energy sector added 5.4GW of capacity in the fiscal year 2017 and 3.4GW the previous year. With this addition, the total installation of wind moved from 27GW to 32GW, Tulsi Tanti said in an emailed statement to Bloomberg.
