Convenience-chain giant 7-Eleven will purchase 100% Texas wind energy to power all 425 of its stores located in competitive electric markets in the state, as many US companies continue deepening their commitment to renewables despite federal government bias toward fossil fuels.
7-Eleven, based in Irving near Dallas, did not release financial terms of its eight-year deal with TXU Energy, the largest retail electric provider in Texas.
