Brexit trigger starts voyage into unknown for UK renewables

The UK’s separation from the EU – formally triggered on Wednesday – creates challenges and uncertainties for renewables and the wider energy sector, said businesses, analysts and investors in Britain and Europe.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May officially triggered Article 50, which sets off the process by which the country will exit from the EU. Two years of negotiations will follow that will cover trade deals and future relations with the bloc.
