The 10MW Dounreay Trì floating wind power demonstrator has added €45m to its coffers via a bond issue on the Nordic investment market, pushing the button on construction of the innovative twin-head concept’s steel platform and towers.
The financing, which has fixed three-year term at 10%, will be used to “partially fund” the pilot project, currently on track for switch-on in July 2018 following approval earlier this month by the Scottish government.
