EXCLUSIVE | GE has signed a deal with Chinese energy group China Three Gorges (CTG) to supply three of its 6MW Haliade offshore wind turbines for a pilot offshore array in the Fujian area that could be followed up by a large offshore array in the same zone, GE Renewable Energy chief executive Jérôme Pécresse told Recharge.

“It is a first step for us into the Chinese (offshore wind) market,” Pécresse said in an interview ahead of the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new offshore blade factory by LM Wind Power in Cherbourg, France.
