The Chilean government has cut the amount of electricity it will contract in its upcoming tender and postponed the start of 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) by a year to 2024, in the face of declining regulated-market demand.
Local media outlets claimed that revised power demand estimates point to contracts of 2.5TWh a year, down from 4.2TWh/year as previously announced.
