UK climate action reduces bills, says government adviser

UK policies on climate change have not increased households bill and are driving down energy costs, according to a report from the government’s advisory body the Committee on Climate Change (CCC).

The CCC found in its latest report, Energy Prices and Bills 2017, that renewables are responsible for lowering costs, with onshore wind dubbed a “cost-competitive way to keep bills down.
