Spanish infrastructure group Abengoa has started tests at the 70MW Campo Palomas wind farm in Uruguay that it built for Invenergy in the country’s northwestern Salto province.

The company said turbine 19 has started supplying power to the grid, and the project should be fully operational this year.

In 2013 Abengoa was hired to build, operate and maintain the wind farm by state power company UTE, which is also the power offtaker.
