UK energy regulator Ofgem has opened tenders for companies to submit bids to own and run transmission links to the 340MW Galloper and 660MW Walney Extension wind farms off the coasts of Suffolk and Cumbria.
The two links – off northwest and eastern England respectively – represent the second stage of the fifth tender round of the offshore transmission owners (OFTOs) regime.
