MAKE flags cost-of-energy imperatives as wind faces 'critical transition'

The global wind sector will see compound growth of more than 3% from 2017-2026, spurring the addition of 627GW of wind, said consultancy MAKE in its latest update for the global sector.

Policies that spur frontloaded development in several key markets will ensure strong near-term demand to 2020, followed by a levelling out and then a new peak from 2024-26, said MAKE’s Q1/2017 Global Wind Power Market Outlook Update.
