Mortenson Construction has won the order to act as EPC contractor for the largest single-phase wind farm ever built in North America, utility Xcel Energy’s 600MW Rush Creek project in Colorado’s eastern plains.
The deal represents the largest wind contract ever for Minnesota-based Mortenson, which is among the continent’s leading wind contractors, and further deepens its relationship with multi-state utility and wind power giant Xcel, which is also based in Minnesota.
