The list of developers planning to bid next week for a huge offshore wind zone facing North Carolina is dwindling, with two more players – a unit of Royal Dutch Shell and US-based Apex Clean Energy – reportedly no longer interested.
Royal Dutch Shell, among the world’s largest oil companies, took steps to qualify for the North Carolina auction through its Shell WindEnergy unit, but confirmed to Recharge it decided not to proceed.
