Germany’s powerful metalworkers union IG Metall fears wind turbine maker Senvion may close two of its German factories and bundle production elsewhere as part of a restructuring.

Employees suspect that the company is shuffling production activities from its plants in Trampe in Brandenburg state and near Husum in Schleswig-Hostein state towards facilities in Bremerhaven and Portugal, Peter Ernsdorf from the IG Metall in the east of Brandenburg state told Recharge.
