The UK renewable energy sector was left in suspense over a replacement for the Levy Control Framework (LCF), which the country’s finance minister today revealed will be scrapped.
The budget presented by chancellor Philip Hammond said the LCF – the overarching funding pot for renewables subsidies – “has helped to control the costs of low carbon subsidies in recent years, and will be replaced by a new set of controls.
