A consortium of French and Portuguese utilities Engie and EDPR plans to bid for the up-to-750MW Dunkirk offshore zone in France’s third offshore wind tendering round that Paris wants to have auctioned off by the beginning of 2018.
Companies had until 28 February to express their interest over the Dunkirk area. The ministry of energy will now pre-select candidates who can eventually bid in the auction.
