Denmark's government wants to screen the North and Baltic Seas for possible locations for additional offshore wind power, and build several test sites for wind at sea and onshore, energy minister Lars Christian Lilleholt said as turbine-maker MHI Vestas announced it will add more than 400 jobs in Danish factories.

“I'm very happy for this news, which cements Denmark's global leadership position in the wind industry – a position which the Government wants to expand further,” Lilleholt said of the plant expansion.
