International marine and engineering consultancy LOC Group has been tapped to provide turnkey marine warranty surveying (MWS) services for France’s first trio of offshore wind farms, in the most recent signs of life from the long-stalled region.
Under the MWS deal LOC will offer “early-stage guidance” on engineering design work and “ensuring the safety and security of the construction process” on the 498MW Fécamp, 450MW Courseulles-sur-Mer and 480MW Saint-Nazaire projects being developed by France’s EDF Énergies Nouvelles and Canada’s Enbridge.
