UK regulator Ofgem has shortlisted six bidders to compete over the offshore transmission links to the 402MW Dudgeon, 400.2MW Rampion and 565MW Race Bank windfarms off the coasts of Norfolk and Sussex.

The winners will own and operate the links, which are the first of five to be tendered under the fifth round of the offshore transmission owner (OFTO) regime.

The same companies were shortlisted for Dudgeon, which consists of 67 Siemens 6MW wind turbines located off the coast of Cromer in North Norfolk, and for Rampion, which consists of 116 Vestas 3.45MW
