GeoSea, the offshore engineering unit of Belgian marine engineering group DEME, has ordered the Orion vessel under construction at Chinese shipyard COSCO, which will be able to transport and install the next generation of 10-12MW wind turbines.
The new installation vessel is slated to be delivered in 2019.
Orion can take the heaviest monopile foundations, jackets, wind turbine components and structures in a single shipment.
