Spanish wind group Gamesa went out with a bang in what was likely its last year as a standalone company, chalking up record revenues, orders and profitability in 2016, thanks to booming sales in emerging markets.
Having raised its 2016 outlook twice during the course of last year, Gamesa topped its own guidance again, posting a net profit of €301m ($318m), up 77% year on year, on revenues of €4.6bn.
