Broadwind Energy, the US manufacturer of wind turbine towers, tripled its orders in 2016 and reported its first full year of profitability, thanks to a strong US wind market.
Broadwind, which is based in Chicago and has tower factories in Wisconsin and Texas, has mounted a significant turnaround under the leadership of Stephanie Kushner, who took the reins as chief executive last May.
