LM Wind Power will build a new offshore blade factory in Cherbourg France and signed a supply deal with GE – the US turbine giant that is slated to acquire it later this year.
The plant will be able to make the world’s longest blade – the LM 88.4P to be used off France by Adwen’s 8MW turbine – and is expected to reach a production capacity serving between 1.2GW
