Danish wind group Vestas is splitting its Asia-Pacific sales operations into two business units (SBUs) led by two newly-appointed executives, in a bid to sharpen its focus on growth in the region.
The two new units will be SBI CHI and SBU ASP, respectively covering China and Mongolia, and the rest of Asia-Pacific – including the fast-growing Indian market.
The SBU CHI operation, based in Beijing, will be led by Kebao Yang, previously general manager of Caterpillar (Qingzhou), the Chinese arm of the construction equipment giant, who will join Vestas on 20 March.
