DNV GL will lead a consortium to assess the business case for community energy storage – a development the technical advisory giant says could ease the path for renewables onto the grid.
Widespread use of community battery systems involves far more stakeholders than storage deployments linked to a single project or consumer, said DNV GL, which will work with battery storage group Alfen and flexible energy specialist Peeks on the project.
