Spanish developer Renovalia Energia could soon be facing another sale as the company finds itself in the middle of a strategic review, sources said.

Renovalia currently owns and operates 810MW-worth of wind, solar and hydro projects across six countries.

The company was acquired by US-based private equity player Cerberus Capital in 2015 in a €1bn ($1.06bn) deal, having previously been owned by the Ortega Martínez family, Grupo Forlasa, which, after decades of focusing on the dairy business in Spain, it turned its sights towards renewables.
