Statoil confirmed the first export of power from the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off eastern England.

The first of the project’s 67 Siemens SWT-6.0-154 began sending power to the UK National Grid earlier this week, said the Norwegian oil and gas group.

The £1.5bn ($1.88bn) Dudgeon project is due to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of the year, following an installation programme by contractor A2SEA's Sea Challenger.
