Wind OEM Vestas said it expects sales to be flat at best this year after a bumper 2016, and signalled an updated strategy geared to the “evolving reality” of an onshore wind market moving from high to steady growth.
The Danish group posted record revenues of €10.2bn ($10.87bn) for 2016, along with an Ebit margin of 13.9% before special items. Net profit surged to €965m from the €685m seen in 2015.
