Vestas has deepened its footprint in Argentina’s fast-growing wind power market with a 100MW turbine supply deal from a unit of local power giant Pampa Energia.
The Danish OEM will deliver 29 V126-3.45 MW turbines for the 100MW Corti wind farm in Bahía Blanca, with commissioning scheduled in the second quarter of 2018.
The deal – which includes a 10-year service agreement – brings Vestas’ firm order total in Argentina since December to 225MW, the company said.
