Dong adds Steelwind and Wilton to Hornsea 1 roster

Dong Energy has announced another contract for the UK’s 1.2GW Hornsea 1 offshore wind project, with Steelwind Nordenham and Wilton Engineering lined up to work on 20 transition pieces.

Germany’s Steelwind Nordenham will supply the transition pieces, with Wilton Engineering – based locally to the project site in Teesside, northeast England – providing “a significant part of the scope including outfitting, coating and load-out”.
