Enel Green Power (EGP) – the renewables unit of Italian energy giant Enel – installed more than 2GW of new capacity in 2016, a record for the company.

The 2.02GW added last more than doubled the 900MW built in 2015 and was dominated by additions in the Americas.

That included 542MW of wind and solar in Chile, among it the 160MW Finis Terrae PV array.

US landmarks included the first 200MW of the 400MW Cimarron Bend wind farm in Kansas, set to be EGP’s largest wind project to date.
