Embattled German utility EnBW says it has advanced to become one of the country’s top project developers, as by the end of last year its pipeline of permitted wind farms swelled to 200MW of capacity that will help it reach its 1GW 2020 target for onshore wind.
Most of the approved volume – 11 wind projects with a combined capacity of 145MW – are located in the utility’s home state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany.
