Fred Olsen Ocean has forged an alliance with marine transportation specialist Teekay Offshore to develop a “game changer” vessel for the offshore wind sector.
The partners plan to design a vessel “that fills the gap between crew transfer vessels and service operations vessels in the offshore wind space”, they said in a statement.
The vessel will deploy Teekay’s HiLoad marine loading technology in the offshore wind sector for the first time.
