Argentina off and running as first 1.1GW of RE contracts signed

Argentina’s government has signed contracts for 707MW of wind and 400MW of solar PV projects from Round 1 of its RenovAr renewable energy tender.

“We hope that in a few years we’ll be able to show that Argentina is leader in renewable power like we have been in many other areas in the past,” said President Mauricio Macri at the signing ceremony in Buenos Aires late on Monday.

As
