Dong Energy has finalised its 450MW order for 8.3MW MHI Vestas V164 turbines at the Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in German waters.
The order – the largest yet placed with the Japanese-Danish joint venture OEM – was cemented after Dong received the OK from the German authorities to amend consent for the larger turbines.
The V164s deployed at Borkum Riffgrund 2 will be boosted to 8.3MW
