New York has awarded $360m to 11 large-scale renewables projects, including two 100MW wind farms developed by Invenergy and NextEra, as Governor Andrew Cuomo continues his recent flurry of announcements aimed at spurring wind and solar development in the state.
While the precise amount of funding for each project was not revealed, the weighted-average award price is $24.24 per MWh of production over 20 years, to be provided by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
