Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has won another order in the US, totaling 300MW, and comprising of 150 of its V110-2.0MW machines.

Vestas at the customer's request neither revealed the customer, nor the project name, for the order.

Delivery of the turbines is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2017, with commissioning seen in the fourth quarter.

A series of US orders had helped Vestas to reach a record 9.27GW of orders for 2016 so far, with further unannounced deals still to be added to the final total. The turbine maker a year earlier had orders totaling 8.94GW.

Longroad Energy Holdings, a developer backed by New Zealand’s government, earlier this week made public a deal that could enable the development of more than 600MW worth of US orders still counting for the year 2016.

The 300MW deal now announced already counts for the fiscal year of 2017.
