German wind OEM Nordex is celebrating its entry into Argentina's wind market after bagging a 148MW order from a winner in the country’s recent renewables tender.
Nordex will supply 47 3MW AW 125/3000 turbines for two projects it will build for utility Central Puerto, which the German company described as “the most important private generation company in Argentina”.
The OEM will supply 32 of the machines to the La Castellana wind farm and 15 to the Archiras development, which are both due to begin construction in the final quarter of this year for a summer 2018 completion.
