Danish wind turbine maker Vestas announced a string of orders in the US, notching up around 800MW this week as developers raced to ensure their projects receive full benefit from the production tax credit (PTC) incentive ahead of a 1 January deadline.
The largest order announced for which the customer is identified came from BHE Renewables, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, over 140MW of the manufacturer’s V110-2.0MW
