Brazilian renewables developer CPFL Energias Renováveis, is preparing to issue local-current bonds worth R$100m ($30.5m) to pay for recent projects.

The issue was approved by the company’s board of directors on 15 December. The seven-year local bonds, known as debentures, will be guaranteed by the company.

The issue was expected as part of the company’s programme to seek financing in private market.
