Danish offshore wind giant Dong Energy is in the throes of commissioning the 258MW Burbo Banks Extension (BBE) off Britain, with plans proceeding for switch-on early next year.
Contractor A2Sea was brought in to install the project's 32 MHI Vestas V164 turbines, at 8MW currently the most powerful offshore model in operation, in water depths down to 17 metres in the Irish Sea.
