Argentina’s state oil company YPF has obtained a $200m loan from the CII, the InterAmerican Development Bank’s (IDB) corporate financing arm, to build the 100MW Manantiales Behr wind farm, which will supply power for its industrial activities in the country.
YPF is the first company to invest in wind power for its own use after the 2015 revision of the country’s renewable energy mandate.
